What is Open Studies?
Open Studies allows you to take Vanguard courses without applying for a specific certificate or degree.

Whether you desire to study for professional development, need to take courses for credentialing, want to get a head start on a degree, or to take a course for personal interest, Open Studies may be for you!
Open Studies allows you to take up to five courses without committing to a specific program of study at Vanguard College. You can take up to two courses per term.
You can take courses online or on campus. If you are taking an Open Studies course online, you will need to complete the Orientation to Online Learning course with a grade of 80% first before beginning class.
Please note that courses taken as Open Studies do not qualify for Student Loans.
