Though there are so many parts of the Vanguard College student experience we would love to mention here, there are three main focuses that impact everything we do. We equip students with a reliable theological foundation, disciplined spiritual formation, and many opportunities to practice what they learn in the real world. Whether you plan on entering vocational ministry or not, Vanguard will prepare you effectively for Christian life and ministry, wherever God leads you!

Biblical Foundation

Vanguard effectively equips students to reliably navigate, interpret, and teach Scripture. Professors are exceptional in their fields of study, and have a deep desire to help their students grow in their walk with God intellectually, spiritually, and practically.

Vanguard College is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education, so students can be confident that courses will have a high standard of quality and reliability.

Spiritual Formation

Vanguard's Campus Life department intentionally nurtures the spiritual tone of the college through chapels, life groups, and encouraging Spiritual practices both personally and in community. Speaking of community, one of the best parts of college life is doing life alongside others who desire to mature in the practice of following Jesus; it's exciting to go on this journey together!
 
A new addition to Spiritual Formation at Vanguard is the William David Spiritual Direction Centre, which provides spiritual direction to students at no cost, helping them grow in relationship to God and recognize His presence in their everyday lives. 

Practical Application

Practically applying classroom learning in real-world settings is a priority at Vanguard. All programs have significant practical components including volunteer hours in ministry, internships, and more. Vanguard students are well-equipped to step into a full-time ministry position in their area of study after graduation!
